Who Do You Say I Am?

In a personal conversation with His disciples, Jesus asks them, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” (Matthew 16:13)  After they answered Jesus then asks a more serious question, “…who do you say that I am?” (vs. 15, emphasis mine.)

What a profound question.  In that day there were varying views about who Jesus was.  The disciples told Him that some believed He was John the Baptist, others thoughts Elijah, and others thought Jeremiah or some other prophet.  Jesus did not reply to any of the different thoughts about what folks were saying about Him.  Instead He asked the question which is the bottom line for every believer past, present, and future…“…who do you say that I am?”

As I read this passage I felt the Lord ask it again today to all of His disciples at large today.  But something else caught my attention, who do we say Jesus is?  You see, first we must believe and then we must say, profess, and declare what we believe.  It’s not enough that we just believe that He is our healer; we must say “You are my Healer” even in the face of sickness.  It’s not enough to just believe He is our provider; we must say, “You are my provider” even in the face of poverty.  It’s not enough just to believe He is our strength, we must continue to declare; “In my weakness You are strong”.

Fight the good fight friends and don’t let the enemy keep you from saying who you believe Jesus is.  Amen and Amen.

When Faith and Fear Collide – Pt 1

As believers, what do we do when faith and fear collide within our being?   In part 1 of this message, Tiffany Ann shares inspiration for all believers that is found in Jesus’ cry from the cross “My God why have You forsaken Me?”   We pray it is a blessing to you.

Simple Inspiration

My daughter, Ashley, and I spent the day watching our favorite movies and eating our favorite Easter candy on the sofa.  I heard a quote from Christopher Robin (Winnie-the-Poo’s bff) that I just had to share!

You are braver then you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.  Amen and Amen.

Happy Easter

Celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus!!! Have a blessed weekend. Tiffany Ann and the DWTF Ministry Team.

His Joy

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  (Hebrews 12:2)

Did you know that you were part of the joy that was set before Jesus when He endured the cross?  He left heaven and all the glory that was there and came to earth for one purpose only…you.  He left it all and endured the cross so you could spend eternity in heaven with Him.

Thank you Lord Jesus.  Help us to experience that same joy today.  Amen and Amen.

As your church may be preparing for Palm Sunday too I thought it would be neat to teach you how to say it in Hebrew. We pray this is a blessing to you.

P.S.  If anyone can say Hosanna/Psalm 118:25a in Hebrew this weekend at service I’ll give you a “woot-woot” from the pulpit! Get ready to just shout it out when I ask if anyone knows how to say it!!!!
