“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)

Adonai Yir’eh יִרְאֶ֑ה יְהוָ֣ה or more commonly transliterated, Jehovah Jireh is often translated as “The LORD Will Provide”.  However, a more accurate translation is “The LORD who sees”.  The idea of God seeing us is not just eye sight, it speaks of Him looking after us, discerning and learning about our current condition and taking consideration of us.

What this name reveals of God is that He sees all and knows our needs intimately and out of His sovereign wisdom He will provide.  Please note, what we need may not be what we want, or what we are asking for.  However, it will be exactly what is best because Adonai Yir’eh is our Father who art in heaven and knows what we need.  Amen and Amen.
